The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and the Taiwan Association Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during a ceremony held at the TAU Agritourism Hostel on December 21, 2018.
The partnership aims to explore multiple areas of cooperation between the two institutions, beginning with the opening of on-the-job training opportunities for TAU students.
Tarlac Agricultural University President Dr. Max P. Guillermo gave special thanks to the Taiwan Association President Mr, Chiang Fu-long for his support and passion in forging this partnership and also expressed his honor to have TECO Representative Michael Peiyung Hsu affix his signature as witness to the partnership agreement.
Ambassador Hsu believes that this partnership will bear much fruit in terms of the sharing of expertise and knowledge between both sides. He reiterated that Taiwan and the Philippines are truly the best partners, and will need to work hand in hand in order to maximize their full potential.
After the partnership ceremony, TAU invited all the participating TECO Officials, as well as representatives of the Taiwan Association Inc. and the Taiwan Hundred Farm, to join them for the ceremonial tree planting and site visits.
