Dharma Drum Mountain/阮氏瓊枝

Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) is the place which I love the most in Taiwan.
DDM is an international Buddhist foundation founded by late Venerable Chan Master Sheng-yen. This is a place for education, Buddhist practice and culture. In spite of a Buddhist temple but it is actually a very modern complex. The center is built on a hillside, so you can look down on the city from high up in the mountains. Sitting in the third floor of the building and enjoying the great view make me feel very peaceful and relax. Two small streams flow through the center and their waters are all very clean. When you come here, they will give you a bottle of water which is produced from the water in these streams.
I spent time there touring around the temple and visited the Great Buddha Hall and the museum. The Wish Fulfilling Guanyin Hall has a beautiful statue of Guanyin in the Tang Dynasty style. The Founding History Memorial Hall is a small museum which display objects about the life and calligraphy of Master Sheng Yen. The center has a small cafeteria where serve free coffee, sandwich, cakes and the best tea I have ever drunk.
The nuns and monks and the volunteers here are very friendly. If you have some problems or would like to learn more about Buddhist, you can ask to talk with the monks.
There are some walking traits with natural beauty around the center. You can enjoy the walk, connect to the nature and listen to your own spirit. A friend of mine said that the trip to DDM changed his life, so I hope that all of you can learn something meaningful in here.
