Friends are my family :)/Eileen Teng

“Treat yourself as one of our family member.” This is what she told me when we know each other in our freshman year. She is my best friend in Taiwan—- Katy. I still remembered how we meet each other in school. She came to my room on first day of school because she knows that our class got one foreigner from Malaysia and she think that this is very cool because she never met any Malaysian before. We spend our freshman time together and create much new memory between us. She will bring me back home with her in Taipei and her family was being so nice to me. Her family helps me a lot when I faced problem in Taiwan. But, Katy transferred to another university in Taipei in our sophomore year. We still keeping contact with each other and I will go Taipei visit her each semester, she will take me to some famous place in Taipei. Same goes to her; she will visit Kaohsiung once in a while and I will be the tour guide for her. I hope our friendship will last eternity because I really appreciate it.
Besides that, I think that I’m very lucky because I have the best roommate since our first semester. Her name is Smith and she is different department with me. Until now, we still live in the same room. She is a nice person. For the most unforgettable memory is when I’m hurt because of an accident. What happened was she brought me to hospital right after her part time job in late at night. I feel very touch for that she willing to lend her hand although she was tired. In addition, she brought me to some of the famous attraction in Taiwan such as Tainan. Last winter vacation, she visited Malaysia and I feel so happy to be her tour guide and spent our holiday together. I fell very grateful to have her in my Taiwan’s university life.
Last but not least, I had very wonderful classmates in our department. We celebrated many event and festivals together. They bring so much extraordinary memory for me. They teach me the culture in Taiwan, brought me around to have the delicious food around Taiwan, planned for class trip to Kenting and other place and many others. I feel thankful for having every one of them in my amazing university life. Thank you for everything, friends.
Friendship is important in our daily life. There is one’s said that when we at home, we depend on our family; but when we at outside, we depend on our friend. It is not easy to stay alone in a foreign country. So, appreciate everyone around you.
